Has there ever been something so private, so fragile in your life that to put it to words or to speak it would be to diminish it or even lose it? The softest most delicate petals from the humblest of flowers only requires the smallest breath of wind to make it fly with aimless abandon to alight upon an unsuspecting child. Delightedly that child takes joy in the blowing of the petal and the watching of where it floats next.
Because we have something so private, we guard it so tightly that it withers and has no choice but to give up. But to be like a child and take a child's delight in letting that fragile thing loose, is to open yourself up to the joy of not having to carry that private, fragile thing alone.
So....open your arms wide and let the wind of His Breath gently blow.

June 27th, a hot humid summer day.
Driving really fast in a 5 speed convertible with the top down, the wind blowing through my hair, and music playing loud through wide open spaces....
Such was the trip I took in my imagination.
There are days I 'd like to do just that with the added bonus of coming home to my family.

It is 1:00 am and my family is asleep. I thought I'd try and expand my cyber space horizons, so I hope to add to this frequently and perhaps even add pictures...once I figure out how. :)
The day has been full with housecleaning (oh boy) , work for Darryl and fun for Olivia and I.
Darryl and Olivia went to the driving range and hit a couple of buckets of balls. My daughter likes two things..ALOT. Horses and golf. Hmmmm. And she is pretty good as she continues to learn more about both. School she can live without, but there are only 3 weeks and 2 days left.
A happy girl. She had her first piano recital last evening and performed well....she says she will do it next year again.
Ok, enough for my first blog...goodnight
