New Beginnings

It's a new year, and after following a bazillion posts that I love, I have decided to be an intentional blogger.  I am going to write lots of words and post lots of photographs....two things I enjoy the most. So, sit back and enjoy the ride!

What Hopewell Ranch means to me

Horses....
So strong and powerful,
So peaceful and patient,
Majestic and gentle.
They run like the wind
And stand guard.
They quietly accept.

The days that are full,
Of
Sunshine and blue sky,
Tall pine trees,
Heat and sweat.
Of
Soft summer breezes and
Creaking gates.
There are helmets
And cowboy hats...
And cowboy boots
Proudly worn.

And it means
Peace and joy
Laughter and tears,
Brushing manes and
Combing tails.

There are
Confidences whispered
There is
Brokenness and healing and
Tears that gently fall...
There are hugs given and received.

And finally
The sum of it all...
Love and acceptance
Mercy and Grace...

And rising like a mist over and around all who are there...

Hope.

Tis the eve of the new year and i am wondering what it will bring.

in the meadow... with
long grasses swaying,
and gentle breeze blowing
in step with the unheard song....

my heart tucked into yours,
our feet skimming
the ground below...

twirling and bowing,
surrounded by
the song,
the sun warming our noses,
swaying side to side,
the song ever growing.....
joyous and full.

Winter
I'm goin' outside
gonna build a great big snowman,
I'm goin' outside
maybe make an angel,
I'm goin' outside
gotta find my hat my coat my boots
C'mon outside
and play with me!
